It&#8217;s like being in a huge, free open air museum that you can go back and visit whenever you please. I&#8217;m always on the lookout. My Piece de Resistance, if you will. <strong><em>De Boekenkast <\/em><\/strong>is a 2019 piece designed and created again by <strong><em>Jan is de Man. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s special to this neighbourhood, just like the previous piece, except this time, residents of the street were asked to provide the titles of their favourite books. Now you&#8217;ll find a wild range of literature lining these shelves, including Harry Potter, The BFG, Sapiens, Life, The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck, and even a cheeky issue of Playboy, and they certainly liven up the street corner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"The_otter_on_Otterstraat\"><\/span>The otter on Otterstraat<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"384\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-22-4-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2767\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-22-4-1.jpg 384w, https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/09\/2020-09-22-4-1-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 384px) 100vw, 384px\" \/><figcaption>The otter of Otterstraat<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Another design by the infamous <strong><em>Verfdoktor, <\/em><\/strong>this otter chilling next to the Domtoren &#8211; Utrecht&#8217;s famous city centre tower &#8211; is one to look out for. I found it after heading to <strong>Karibu <\/strong>cafe in the afternoon. Boer <\/em><\/strong>back in 1978, and named <strong><em>Ducdalf met schepen<\/em><\/strong>. Of course, the smiling cloud and its beautiful streaming rainbow colours represent the calm after the storm, which we&#8217;re all hoping will make an appearance sometime in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"What_are_your_thoughts\"><\/span>What are your thoughts?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;d love to hear your thoughts on street art in general, as well as this awesome Utrecht street art.
