When we headed to Japan last month, it was my dream to take a few neon snaps of Japan of my own, and I did just that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welcome to my miniature neon photo gallery. It&#8217;s tiny. It literally contains 5 images. Dotonbori, Osaka<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This was the first image I created from a basic night time shot I took in Dotonbori, a well-known area of Osaka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Dotonbori.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-501\" width=\"588\" height=\"783\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Dotonbori.jpg 384w, https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Dotonbori-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 588px) 100vw, 588px\" \/><figcaption>Dotonbori, Osaka. Image created by me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I almost didn&#8217;t take this shot. We were wandering the streets, heading back to our hotel and this side street caught my eye. I love the large board that stands prominently in the centre of the photo welcoming you to Dotonbori. Who knows what adventures lie within these city walls?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Neon_trees_Festival_of_Light_Osaka\"><\/span>2. Neon trees, Festival of Light, Osaka<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Taken the same evening, we wandered down this one fantastically vibrant and luxurious main street which was lined with all sorts of decorated trees. Image created by me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Clearly pinks and purples are a colour palette I like to explore. I also love the Japanese symbols on the road: it&#8217;s the little things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Shinjuku_Tokyo\"><\/span>3. Image created by me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>I believe that this is a popular spot for a photograph, as I&#8217;m pretty sure I&#8217;ve seen a few almost identical images. For me, it was the signage above the door on this building that really stood out for me, especially the red symbols shining through the blue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This may be a cold image, but to me it signals the hustle and bustle and vibrancy of real life Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"4_Taxicab_Tokyo\"><\/span>4. Taxicab, Tokyo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Another spectacle for me in Japan was their abundance of wonderfully old fashioned yet ultra modern taxis that roamed the streets day through night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/taxicab.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-508\" width=\"584\" height=\"779\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/taxicab.jpg 384w, https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/taxicab-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 584px) 100vw, 584px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Although this image has less neon lights, I love the busy-ness of it, and the way the white lights really brighten the street. This was such a bustling area of Shinjuku, I&#8217;m glad I managed to grab a photo with one of those sleek taxis in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fun fact: the taxi doors open themselves, and they&#8217;re lined with blue neon lights. Utter luxury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"5_Final_night_Ikebukero_Tokyo\"><\/span>5. Final night, Ikebukero, Tokyo<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As we waited in line for our final ramen of the holiday, we spied this glorious high rise opposite us. We could see the rooms lit up in rainbow colours, and people singing and dancing away whilst they drank what I presume was copious amounts of Asahi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Shinjuku-last-evening.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-509\" width=\"574\" height=\"765\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Shinjuku-last-evening.jpg 384w, https:\/\/nether-netherland.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/Shinjuku-last-evening-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 574px) 100vw, 574px\" \/><figcaption>Ikebukero , Tokyo. Image created by me.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Our final dose of neon lights in Japan were once again a mixture of blues and purples. Can you see the purple room up there? That&#8217;s where the people were singing and dancing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Final_thoughts\"><\/span>Final thoughts<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst my pictures of the neon lights of Japan are nowhere near professional or perfect, I love them.
